ESG+R
Our ESG+R mission includes continuing to incorporate sustainable practices to drive better outcomes, including greater efficiencies at our assets, superior experiences for our residents, more benefits to our communities, and enhanced engagement for our employees and other important stakeholders. Carmel’s investment and development approach takes into consideration opportunities to incorporate sustainability, social engagement, and the health and well-being of our residents.
In 2022, we developed a three-year ESG+R Strategic Plan and formalized our climate risk assessment and resilience program. In alignment with this Plan, our continued focus on transparency has prepared us to complete our first GRESB submission in 2023.
